The CAB 28th Annual General Meeting (AGM) marked notable leadership transitions. Mr. Noor Muzir of Pacific & Orient Insurance Co. Bhd. concluded his tenure as CAB Chairman, leaving behind a legacy of driving growth and success for the organization. We express our deepest gratitude for his unwavering dedication and contributions. Additionally, Persatuan Insurans AM Malaysia (PIAM) has announced updates to its representatives for the 2024–2026 term. Mr. Gary Hoo of AIA General Berhad will succeed Mr. Antony Lee of AIG Malaysian Insurance Berhad as PIAM's representative on the CAB Supervisory Board.
We also recognize the completion of Mr. Looi Kong Meng’s two-year tenure as a Supervisory Board member representing Lonpac Insurance Bhd, with gratitude for his valuable contributions. During the AGM, Mr. Looi was nominated for another tenure and appointed as CAB Deputy Chairman. CAB also welcomed a new Supervisory Board member, Mr. Junior Cho from Zurich General Insurance Malaysia Berhad. We extend a warm welcome to Mr. Junior Cho and look forward to his valuable contributions and insights as part of the CAB Supervisory Board.
At the recent SB120 meeting on 1st October 2024, the Deputy Chairman announced his impending departure from Lonpac Insurance Bhd by the end of the year. He proposed Mr. Shahrul Azuan Mohamed of Etiqa General Takaful Berhad as the new CAB Chairman, a nomination unanimously approved by the Supervisory Board members.
